10 months!

  •  This week went SO GOOD! We had SO much work and lots of people who wanted to talk to us! literally every single night when I layed down this week my body was completely exhausted which is the best feeling ever as a missionary! Things are going great with hermana Butler and it's so cool that we get to see the Lord's hand in our lives and in his work every single day! Training is honestly a blast and it's been a different experience teaching basically 100% of the lessons and answering all of the questions of everyone lol but it's given me a lot more confidence and also helped me realize that we aren't the ones who teach the people, the spirit is! I've really gained a testimony about the spirit testifying of our words and also of personal study in these weeks! a lot of the time I study something in the scriptures and then someone later that day or week will have a question or doubt about what I JUST studied, so I can help them and testify with a fresh testimony. I've realized if you want the spirit to help guide you in moments of need, you need to study the scriptures so in the moment that you need guidance the spirit can help you think of the things God wants you to know! The time each day to have personal study is the best, I invite you all to take a little little every day to study the scriptures and take a second to think about what God is trying to teach you!

This week we found 3 new families to teach and there were so many blessings this week that sometimes my comp and I would just stop and look at each other and be like what the heck, God is SO GOOD! It's so cool to see how God prepares every person so differently. Ive seen that a lot of people he prepares through a trial or something really hard in their life when they're at the point of "drowning" In their problems. It's so cool to be the one who gets to throw the "life preserver" of the message of Jesus Christ and hope in him, to people who seem like they're drowing. Jesus Christ really is the only one who can save us and his hand is always always there to reach out to us. We just have to reach up to him!
This week I hit 10 months in the mission and all I can think of is HOW? jaja time time flying by and I used to think all the time "ah I can't wait to go home for this or to do this or ah I still have this much left of the mission" and now my thoughts are "what the heck Mexico is so random and cool and I never want to leave!! Times going by too fast!" Some of the people I'm meeting here are the best people I've ever met in my life and I really never want to leave. I'm SO grateful to be in this area with these people!! The weather is painfully hot rn but the awesome message of the gospel, aguas de sabores, fresh fruit paletas, bomb Mexican food, random guys rapping and singing awfully on the buses, laughing so hard w my comp that I almost pee my dress, sore legs from walking all the time, bruised knees from playing soccer w pro Mexicans jaja, an awesome companion, ward members and investigators, and seeing God's hands with all the miracles makes the hard hot days all worth it.

God is so good and I hope you'll take a second to think why. What blessings are you seeing? How can you thank him?

Love you all, have the best week! Go enjoy some air conditioning for me ðŸ™‚

First Time Getting ROBBED in Mexico!

 Hola familia!

What a week! My first week with a new kid and someone steals our phone... how greeaaaat right?? Haha I wish it was a more exciting story but basically we were on a super packed bus (where you are pretty much giving hugs to random strangers) and I had a feeling to move our phone from a little side pocket to a different little bit bigger/deeper one so we wouldn't get robbed. Well I listened to that feeling and moved the phone. Promting ✔ action✔ everything good right?✔ wrong!! ❌ haha about 5 min later I had a feeling to check the pocket with the phone again because i just knew we had been robbed. the thought/feeling came in my head super clear like "you were robbed, don't freak out" and after that clear voice I calmly looked in the pocket that I had just moved the phone into and no phone. I literally looked at my comp and was like lol great we just got robbed... and her face froze and she was kinda freaked out but I said no worries everythings gonna be good and literally laughed thinking "of course my first week training we get robbed" ðŸĪŠ I literally didn't even feel stressed or anything even though we were 2 gringas in the middle of Mexico with literally no way to contact anyone, because i knew that that was going to happen and I knew that God was going to help us figure out what to do!😅
From this experience I learned that we don't always understand why things happen (especially when we feel prompting to do something haha) but also learned that God has a sense of humor, and is very merciful. Maybe I don't get why we were robbed but I'm so grateful for all of the events that happened after it happened. God really helped us out and helped me keep my cool and deal with the situation calmly!
I hope you guys all know that everything happening in your lives right now is for a reason, even if you don't understand that reason. Keep your heads up and know that someone, not just anyone- a loving Heavenly Father, is looking out for you, and can give you peace and comfort even when we go through stressful or hard things in our lives! Those stressful/hard things are probably the things that you specifically need to become more of the person that HE wants you to be!

The first week with my new comp went different than expected for sure, but it ended up being good! Hermana butlers honestly so great!
Im so grateful to be a missionary and I'm so grateful for our loving Heavenly Father! Take a second from your day today and thank him for all of your blessings... especially having a phone ðŸ˜…

Love you all

I'm Training!

These last two weeks were good ones sorry I didn't have time to write last week! Highlight from last week was that Elena was baptized then this week was the last week with my comp Hermana Castro so we worked hard and had fun! I also had 2 divisions which was a lot of not sleeping in my own bed, but it was fun! It's SO hot here it's been hard hard sleep at night haha but who needs sleep right? Killing off another comp was hard haha but It was awesome because I got to go to a super fancy restaurant with her for her last dinner here (payed for by our president) and our last Sunday was really awesome with a bunch of people in the church and our convert Regina gave a talk and our convert Juanjo got interviewed for the priesthood! After the meeting i said my goodbyes to my comp and later yesterday night I got the news that I'M TRAINING this transfer!! My new comp is hna butler and she's so awesome!! I'll tell you more ab her next week! Love you all and have the best week!
