Be more like a duck

This week flew by, honestly can't believe it's been a full week...This week we were all over our area and saw a lot of tender mercies! It's cool to look around and see God's hand everywhere ðŸ˜Ž we found some super solid people to teach this week from THEM coming up and just starting to talk to US. At the store one morning to buy some eggs, a guy came up and just started telling us he had seen us a couple times and felt like he needed guidance from us, well from God. He said he didn't know his purpose in life and wanted us to tell him. It was super cool and he was super touched by the plan of salvation! Another time this week a girl came up and asked me about a bus stop and noticed my tag and asked me about it. We started to chat w her and turns out she lives one street away from us and wants us to teach her more! She's our age and I'm super excited to teach her! It's cool being able to share the gospel with people the same age because I feel like I can share life experiences with the gospel and they can relate more! I'm excited for her:)

We also started teaching a couple other people this week who are super ready for the gospel. It touches my heart that God is preparing so many people, perfectly, to hear the gospel! This week there were so many lessons that I felt the spirit so strong, and it made me feel so much love for these people and see them with the potential that God sees in them. it made me just want to feel that spirit every day and see people how God sees them more. I was reading in "the infinite atonement" this week and it talks about how each and every one of us has the potential of becoming like our Heavenly Father. We are not only his children but we have the potential to literally become like him, GODS. Isn't that so cool? Literally every single person we see has that potential, thanks to the plan God has for us. I invite each of you to try to see the people around you more like God sees them. Doing that this week really changed my heart and made me more motivated to LOVE everyone. We don't get to pick and choose who "deserves" our love and forgiveness. God asks us to love everyone and forgive everyone freely. With that perspective this week I noticed myself a lot happier and I didn't let things get to me, and just wanted everyone to have the love and happiness that the gospel brings!

This week talking to my comp she said that i was like a duck... a little confused I asked how? and she told me that I don't get angry with people or hold things against them, I just let things roll off my back like water off the back of a duck lol. She said she wanted to be more "ducklike" like me😅 Every time she got angry or bugged at something this week I'd just draw a duck and it made her laugh and get over things. It's such a simple choice to let things get to us or not, but it makes all the difference. it made me see how much I've changed on the mish, and how now some things just aren't important. Why let someone else ruin your happiness? we LET a lot of little things affect us and our happiness. I'm definitely not perfect with these two things (I'm still working every day haha) but really if we live our life with these two things, I know we can live with SO much more happiness. I invite all of you to 1- try to see people how God sees them and 2-let things roll off your back. Choose to not get bugged, angry, and choose to be happy! Really try to do these things and I promise you'll note a difference in your life!  :))

Anyways I hope you all had the best week and you have another good one! Hbd shout out to Maddie and AJ this last week, love you guys!

Eternal Perspective

Hey! I hope you all had a fantastic week!

This week was very interesting! It had a lot of ups and downs but overall it was good. First off the goods:) we had zone conference and a lot of the stuff that our President talked about was really inspired. It helped me know even more that our leaders can recieve divine inspiration for us! We also had General Conference which was SOOO GOOOD!! if you didn't get the chance to listen, go online and listen to it! You won't regret it. If you did get the chance to listen to it, go online and listen to it again! Haha I seriously loved it and I know without a doubt that president Nelson is a prophet of God and he and the other leaders of the church recieve revelation for us. They answered every single one of my questions and prayers, and I know they can do the same for you!
Another awesome thing of this week was that a family we've been teaching got baptized! It's so special to see people in white making covenants with God! Last minute they dropped the bomb that they'd be moving to another ward haha which sucks for us, but the members of the other ward really stepped up and showed their support for this fam at their baptism and I know they'll be in good hands! Being on the mission has really made me think not only of the type of person I want to be, but also the type of member and disciple I want to be after! I hope you guys will all step up and help in your wards. Share the gospel with your friends. Give referrals to the missionaries. Take your callings seriously. Make an extra effort to love and minister to others. Try to be a little more like Jesus, and don't beat yourself up if you're not perfect or doing as good as you want to be! Don't give up! We can be perfected IN Jesus Christ, and we need him every day. We can't do this without him and his atonement. Try a little harder to do the things that Jesus would be doing if he were here, we take his name upon us every week- Are we really showing through our actions that weve taken upon his name? Anyways that's a lot of stuff, and sometimes we feel too busy to do all of that, but I PROMISE that as we look outside of ourselves and look to help those around us, God will allow us to see miracles and be the answer to someone's prayers. I promise that the type of joy we feel from really taking the name of Jesus Christ upon us makes us feel JOY and love that we can't find in anything "of the world". Jesus has overcome the world and so can we with his help❤ go listen to pres Nelson's talk for some awesome advice on how to do that!!

This week we had a lot of problems "of the world" haha. Im not going to explain everything but basically we haven't had light or gas almost all week, and there were some days where I was like "do I laugh or cry rn" haha. During all the stuff that went down I realized how much God loves and comforts us through our trials and that with an eternal perspective, a lot of things don't matter! Every trial or experience where I could have felt super sad or mad or discouraged, I felt the comforting peace of the spirit and I was overwhelmed with love. When we yoke ourselves to christ and have trust in him, and an eternal perspective, we can overcome the world and feel so much happiness!

I hope you are all doing awesome and enjoy this week! Love you!!
